Our Refurbishment & Testing Process

At Recore Tech, every refurbished laptop goes through a careful preparation process before it is listed for sale. Our aim is to make sure each device is accurately described, properly prepared and ready for its next owner.

We focus on the things that matter most when buying refurbished technology: condition, functionality, clear grading and reliable after-sales support.

Step 1 – Inspect

Every refurbished laptop is inspected before sale to check its overall condition and essential functions. Depending on the device, this can include checks of the processor, RAM, SSD health, battery capacity, keyboard, trackpad, ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam and general system stability.

The aim is to identify obvious hardware or functionality issues before the device reaches the customer.

Step 2 – Prepare

After inspection, each laptop is prepared for resale. This includes cleaning the device, checking that the operating system is correctly set up, and making sure the laptop is ready for everyday use.

Where needed, devices may also be configured or adjusted before they are approved for listing.

Step 3 – Grade & Describe

Each device is assigned a cosmetic grade so customers know what level of visible wear to expect before ordering.

Our grading system focuses on cosmetic condition and does not change the core specification of the laptop.

Grade A devices are in excellent cosmetic condition with minimal signs of use.

Grade B devices are in good cosmetic condition and may show light signs of previous use.

Grade C devices may show heavier cosmetic wear but are still prepared for normal everyday use.

Step 4 – Quality Approval

Before a laptop is approved for sale, we carry out a final review of its condition, specification and overall readiness.

This helps make sure the product listing accurately reflects the device being sold and that the laptop is ready for its next owner.

Step 5 – Pack & Deliver

Once approved, the laptop is carefully packed to help protect it during delivery.

Orders are prepared for tracked delivery so customers can follow their parcel from dispatch to arrival.

12-Month Hardware Warranty

Eligible refurbished devices sold by Recore Tech include a 12-month hardware warranty, unless the individual product listing or order documentation states otherwise.

Our commercial warranty is separate from your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
